The truck was hauled away around 10 a.m. and all lanes of the roadway were reopened.
As many commuters returned to area roads Tuesday, officials warned of icy, slippery conditions exacerbated by roadways narrowed by piles of snow.
Pete Piringer, spokesman for the Montgomery County fire department, warned residents at 7 a.m. to stay home. Piringer tweeted, “Our advice to MoCo ‘wannabe’ motorists—for your safety—STAY OFF THE ROADS…”
