Exxon burglarized on Christmas

Someone broke into and took merchandise from the Exxon gas station at 7975 Old Georgetown Road during the early morning hours of Dec. 25.

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from vehicles on Worthington and Belvoir drives, and Falmouth, River, Norwood and Farrington roads between Dec. 21 and 29. The vehicles did not show signs of forced entry.

Kensington

Indecent exposure

A man exposed himself to someone during the early morning hours of Dec. 25 in the 4900 block of Howard Avenue.

Blue Water Spa burglarized

Someone broke into the Blue Water Spa at 5234 Nicholson Lane during the early morning hours of Dec. 26, but nothing was reported stolen.

Rockville

Residential burglary on Meadow Hall Drive

Someone broke into a home in the 500 block of Meadow Hall Drive sometime between 2 and 10 a.m. Dec. 23, but nothing was reported stolen.

Woman burglarizes business

A woman entered a business in the 14900 block of Shady Grove Road and filled a shopping bag with items, then left without paying. The woman was last seen leaving in a red passenger car and was described as a white, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with medium-length brown hair. [Rockville police]

Cellphone stolen from basketball court

A man playing basketball in the 12900 block of Twinbrook Parkway reported his phone was stolen from a nearby bench between 7:50 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 21. [Rockville police]

Armed robbery on Hungerford Drive

A man walked into a business in the 900 block of Hungerford Drive around 8:30 p.m. Dec. 23, waved a knife and demanded money. He took two phones and an iPad from individuals inside the business and then left. Police described the suspect as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build and light skin tone. Video game system stolen on North Horners Lane

Someone forced open a locked bedroom door at a group home sometime between Dec. 24 and 26 and stole two pairs of shoes, a video game system, a video game and a television. [Rockville police]

Jouvence Aveda Salon burglarized

Cash was taken from the Jouvence Aveda Salon and Spa at 130 Gibbs St. around 3 a.m. Dec. 21. Police did not find signs of forced entry.

Gaithersburg man arrested for operating tree business without a license

Maryland Natural Resources Police arrested a 53-year-old Gaithersburg man Dec. 19 after he was found performing work on a tree without a license at a home in the 2200 block of Rockland Ave. After the man was charged that day, police said they found him the next day continuing to work on the same tree. He was issued a second citation and could be fined as much as $1,000, police said.

North Potomac

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from vehicles on Latakia Place, Brandy Hall Lane and Piney Lodge Drive during the early morning hours of Dec. 28. No signs of forced entry were found.

Chevy Chase

Thefts from vehicles

Multiple vehicles on Delfield and Delaware streets and Grubb and Ross roads had property and cash taken from them between Dec. 21 and 29. The vehicles didn’t show signs of forced entry.

Downtown Silver Spring

Montgomery County police did not provide crime summaries for southern Silver Spring for this time period. Police said the summaries are “temporarily unavailable and will be provided during the next reporting period.”
