A 42-year-old Derwood man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted women while giving massages at Red Door Spa in the Kentlands.
Police announced Monday that Gavin Anthony Otto has been charged with one count of second-degree sex offense and one count of fourth-degree sex offense in the incidents that allegedly took place on July 7 and Nov. 17.
In the July incident a 32-year-old woman said Otto sexually assaulted her while giving her a massage, according to police. In November, a 37-year-old woman told police she was inappropriately touched by Otto.
Police said there may be other victims and are encouraging anyone who believes they may have been inappropriately touched by Otto to call them at 240-773-5050.
Police arrested Otto on Dec. 2 and he was later released after posting $20,000 bond.
“This matter is currently being investigated by the police, and Red Door Spa is fully cooperating with the authorities in this matter. Given the ongoing investigation, we cannot comment any further,” a Red Door Spa spokesperson said in an email.
