A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck Friday morning by a vehicle at the intersection of Traville Gateway Drive and Shady Grove Road in Rockville.
Pete Piringer, spokesperson for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, said the incident happened a little after 10:15 a.m.
The pedestrian, an adult man, was transported to a hospital with traumatic injuries, Piringer said.
The intersection, near the a shopping center and the headquarters of biopharmaceutical company Human Genome Sciences, is closed for a police investigation, Piringer said. No further details were available.
