Kit and Ace, the trendy Canadian fashion retailer, opened its new Bethesda Row store Tuesday.
The 3,000-square-foot store is part of a rapid expansion for the company, which was founded in 2014 by Shannon and J.J. Wilson—the wife and son of Lululemon founder Chip Wilson. The retailer plans to open 50 stores by the end of the year.
The store specializes in clothing made out of a proprietary fabric called “Qemir” that’s composed of a washable cashmere blend. The store at 4838 Bethesda Ave. fills the former spot occupied by Assaggi Restaurant and Mozzarella Bar. It’s just up the street from the Bethesda Row Lululemon store.
Clothes range from $88 for a men’s T-shirt to more than $300 for sweaters and jackets on the store’s website.
