Real Housewives Is Coming to Potomac—Here is How People Reacted to the News

You’ve probably heard the news—the Bravo reality TV show Real Housewives is going to premiere a new version of the series based in Potomac.

The show will follow the lives of six local women who are part of “wealthy African-American families who have broken racial barriers and now reside in the sophisticated community,” according to a Bravo news release posted on the network’s website Wednesday. The show is scheduled to premiere Jan. 17. The following women are part of the new show, according to Bravo:

  • Gizelle Bryant – “A vibrant socialite” and single mother of three daughters, Bryant settled in Potomac after divorcing Baltimore megachurch pastor/ activist Jama Bryant, who she was married to for seven years.
  • Katie Rost – An international model and TV personality who was born and raised in Potomac, Rost is a single mother of three who has been dating an investment executive, Andrew, for over a year.
  • Karen Huger – She has been married to her husband, Raymond, an information technology company CEO for 19 years and is known as a “grand dame of Potomac” and a “big contributor to the social scene.”
  • Charrisse Jackson-Jordan – The wife of NBA player-turned-coach Eddie Jordan, she is also the mother to two teenagers and is known “to throw extravagant parties and events.”
  • Ashley Darby – The wife of Australian real estate millionaire Michael Darby, who is 29 years her senior. She married Michael when she was 22 and became the step-mother to his 21- and 24-year-old children. She’s now launching a new restaurant with the help of her husband based around “fresh and wholesome ingredients.”
  • Robyn Dixon – A University of Maryland graduate and the former wife of Juan Dixon, the Terrapin standout and NBA player, she is now a single mom of two sons who works as a publicist.
