Man Seriously Injured in Silver Spring Shooting

Montgomery County police said the Thursday night shooting doesn't appear to be random

A man was transported to the hospital Thursday night in serious condition after he was shot at the front door of a residence in Silver Spring.

Police said the shooting happened around 7 p.m. Thursday in the 9500 block of Clement Road in the Woodside Park neighborhood near downtown Silver Spring. Police are searching for two possible suspects who were seen leaving the scene.

“Police do not believe this is a random event,” Capt. Paul Starks, a spokesman for the Montgomery County Department of Police, said Friday morning. “Police do not believe there is a danger to the community.”
