Montgomery County police released video footage Wednesday in an attempt to identify a suspect in a robbery last week at a Capital One bank on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.
The incident happened around 3:40 p.m. Oct. 28 at the bank at 8315 Georgia Ave., not far from popular restaurants and about two blocks from the Silver Spring library.
According to the video, a man dressed in black pants and a black jacket approaches a teller, says something, fiddles with some papers, and then briefly pulls a black handgun out of his right pocket before tucking it back in.
Police said the man obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the teller and then fled the bank.
Anyone with information about the alleged robbery is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
