Police Blotter: Three Businesses Burglarized in Rockville; Two Bethesda Break-Ins

Bethesda

Residential burglary on Chase Avenue

Someone broke into a residence in the 4400 block of Chase Avenue between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 22 and took cash and property.

Break-in on Hawkins Lane

A residence in the 8800 block of Hawkins Lane showed signs of forced entry after a break-in sometime between 2 p.m. Oct. 22 and 5 p.m. Oct. 25. Nothing was reported stolen.

Rockville

Three businesses burglarized on North Washington Street

Three businesses at 401 North Washington St. were burglarized during the early morning of Oct. 23. Cash was taken from College Living Experience. The EMMES Corp. and Fahe LLC, were broken into, but nothing was taken. All three businesses showed signs of forced entry.

Residential burglary on Debeck Drive

Property was taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Debeck Drive during the early morning of Oct. 23. Police did not find signs of forced entry.

Glen Echo

Thefts from vehicles

Property and cash were taken from vehicles parked on Cornell and Dorset avenues, Augusta and Brookeway drives and Rockmere Court between Oct. 23 and 27. No signs of forced entry were reported.

Chevy Chase

Thefts from vehicles

Property and cash were taken from vehicles parked on Blackthorn and Grafton streets, Washington Avenue, Sundale and Colston drives and East West Highway between Oct. 20 and 25. The vehicles showed no signs of forced entry.

Potomac

Residential burglary on Turnberry Drive

Property was taken from a residence in the 9400 block of Turnberry Drive between 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Oct. 25.

Derwood

Armed robbery on Hiawatha Lane

Two women, both believed to be in their early 20s, robbed a person in the 7700 block of Hiawatha Lane around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 24. One of the women displayed a weapon during the robbery.

Downtown Silver Spring

Teens arrested in Ripley Street robbery

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both of Washington, D.C., in an alleged robbery in the 1100 block of Ripley Street. Police said the teens assaulted a man and took his property around 9 p.m. Oct. 26.

Residential burglary on Ripley Street

Property and cash was taken from a residence in the 11000 block of Ripley Street around 8:15 p.m. Oct. 25. No signs of forced entry were reported.
