Montgomery County police arrested two Washington, D.C., men they say burglarized three homes and attempted to burglarize three more over a 16-day period in Chevy Chase.
Police said that last Thursday, investigators spotted Eric Outlaw, 25, and Stephon Jones, 26, trying to break into two homes in the 3600 block of Shepherd Street in Chevy Chase and arrested them.

Police said Outlaw’s fingerprints matched those detectives had previously collected from the scene of four prior burglary incidents, all in the same area of Chevy Chase where Outlaw and Jones were arrested last week.
Outlaw was charged with committing three burglaries and attempting to commit three additional burglaries. Jones was charged with attempting to commit two burglaries with Outlaw on the day the two were arrested.
On Friday, Outlaw was being held on $50,000 bond and Jones was released after posting $25,000 bond.
The first burglary police say Outlaw was involved in happened Oct. 13 in the 7500 block of Tarrytown Road and several items were taken from the home. The next day, items were taken from a home in the 3900 block of Aspen Street.
On Oct. 20, items were taken from a home in the 3800 block of Blackthorn Street. Police said Outlaw broke a rear window of a home in the 4100 block of Blackthorn Street the same day but was unable to get into the house.
Then on Oct. 29, police spotted and arrested Outlaw and Jones as they attempted to break into two houses in the 3600 block of Shepherd Street.
Police said all of the burglaries and attempted burglaries happened during the day. All involved breaking a rear sliding glass door or basement window, police said.
