Two Daytime Burglaries Reported in Chevy Chase

Incidents happened over the past two days and involved bricks being used to break-in to the homes

The Town of Chevy Chase warned residents Thursday about two daytime burglaries that have occurred over the past two days in the town.

In both burglaries, someone used a brick to break into the rear of homes while residents were away, according to an email notice sent out by the town.

The first incident happened in the 7500 block of Tarrytown Road between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13 and the second happened in the 3900 block of Aspen Street between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Property was reported stolen from both homes.

Police are asking anyone who sees suspicious activity to call them at 301-279-8000.
