Montgomery County Police are looking for a pair of suspects who allegedly stole sunglasses from two different stores in Friendship Heights.

In the first case, police said a man and a woman entered the ILORI store at 5330 Western Ave., distracted an employee and stole sunglasses before fleeing around 8 p.m. July 1.

Police said a few weeks later a store employee immediately recognized the man who walked into the store on Aug. 10 as the same man from the July 1 theft.

The man stole sunglasses from a display case near the front door and fled while the employee was calling 911, police said.

The male suspect, pictured below, was wearing a blue shirt with writing on the front, blue jeans and a backward black hat during the Aug. 10 theft. Police said he also had white ear buds around his neck.

Police said the female suspect in the July 1 theft was black, had short blonde hair and was wearing a denim shirt, denim shorts and black sandals.

In the second case, police said a middle-age man took 12 pairs of sunglasses from the Bloomingdale’s store at the intersection of Wisconsin and Western avenues on Aug. 10, just five days after police said he first stole sunglass from the store on Aug. 5. Store employees reported both thefts to police.

Police described the man as white, in his mid-to-late-forties, with brown hair and a white mustache. Investigators released the following images of the man:
