Police Blotter: Bethesda Salon Burglarized; Armed Robbery in Rockville

The following crimes were reported to Montgomery County police from June 29 and July 7

Bethesda

Commercial burglary at salon

Someone forced their way into and took property from Betru by Salon Prive at 7918 Old Georgetown Road around 8:25 p.m. on July 4, but nothing was reported stolen.

Burglary on Avon Drive

Property was taken from a residence in the 5000 block of Avon Drive sometime between 7:30 p.m. on June 29 and 8:30 a.m. on June 30.

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from vehicles parked on Cromwell Drive, Welborn Drive and Albia Road during the early morning hours of July 2. Police did not find signs of forced entry on the vehicles.

Armed robbery on Gibbs Street

Two men between the ages of 23 and 24 reportedly approached an adult victim in the 100 block of Gibbs Street and took cash and property from the victim around 2:40 p.m. on July 4.

North Bethesda

Possibly related commercial burglaries

Property and cash was taken from two restaurants on Nicholson Lane on June 4. Someone forced their way into Amina Thai at 5065 Nicholson Lane and took cash and property was also taken from Madarin Wok at 5268 Nicholson Lane. Police said the incidents may be related.

Chevy Chase

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from multiple vehicles in Chevy Chase between June 29 and July 1. Police didn’t find signs of forced entry on any of the vehicles. The thefts took place on Primrose Street, Farmington Court, Blaine Drive, Meadow Lane, Delfield Street, Center Street and Oxford Street.

Potomac

Residential burglary on Thrush Lane

Property was taken from a residence in the 9000 block of Thrush Lane between 9 a.m. on July 3 and 12:30 p.m. on July 5.
