Bethesda

Robbery, assault near Walt Whitman High School

A person was assaulted and robbed by a young man near the intersection of Madeira Lane and Pyle Road around 8 p.m. June 24. Police said the male suspect is between 18 and 20 years old.

Residential burglary on Lone Oak Drive

Someone took property from a residence in the 6000 block of Lone Oak Drive during the early morning hours of June 28.

Rockville

McDonald’s robbery

A 25-year-old man was arrested after allegedly robbing a juvenile male inside the McDonald’s at 2102 Veirs Mill Road around 11 p.m. June 29.

Two residential burglaries on Higgins Place

Two burglary incidents were reported at a Rockville apartment building in the 1000 block of Higgins Place. The first incident happened between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. June 23. Police found signs of forced entry and property was taken. In the second incident, signs of forced entry were found and property was taken sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 10 p.m. June 29.

Thefts from vehicles

Items were taken from two vehicles on Adclare Road and two vehicles on Roxboro Road during the early morning hours of June 28.

Thefts from vehicles

Items were taken from two vehicles on Boiling Brook Parkway and one vehicle on Parklawn Drive during the early morning hours of June 26.

Downtown Silver Spring

Robbery, assault on 2nd Avenue

Three men allegedly robbed someone in the 8500 block of 2nd Avenue around 11:30 p.m. June 30. Police said the victim was also assaulted.

Multiple thefts from vehicles

Police did not provide an exact number, but at least eight vehicles were broken into and property was taken between June 23 and 26. The thefts occurred on 1st Avenue, Easley Street, Dale Drive, Ellsworth Drive, Ripley Street and Wayne Avenue.
