The owner of Fish Taco in Cabin John says he may open another location at Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda.

Francis Namin, who also owns Bethesda’s Food Wine & Co., said Monday he’s working to resolve an issue with the space chosen for the restaurant at the shopping center.

“We’ve been working on Fish Taco in Wildwood Shopping Center for a long time and nothing is concrete,” Namin said. “There are issues pending in the space, which is pending on the contract.”

Namin said he has meetings scheduled this week to see if the issues can be worked out with Wildwood owner Federal Realty.

A local architect recently posted information about the taqueria, including that it would be located in a 2,200-square-foot space and have seating for about 80 diners.

Namin launched Fish Taco in Cabin John with then-executive chef Michael Harr in 2013. The restaurant serves a variety of tacos, burritos and rice bowls. At the time, Harr said they planned to expand the concept, according to The Washington Post. Harr left the business last year.

Namin also operates Don Pollo Charbroiled Chicken, City Burger and Beer Wine & Co., all on Wisconsin Avenue near the border between Chevy Chase and Bethesda.
