Governor’s toll cuts go into effect

Tolls will be trimmed at the Bay Bridge from $6 to $4, E-Z Pass charges will decrease and rates at the Key Bridge, Harbor Tunnel and Fort McHenry Tunnel will drop from $7.20 to $6 under the cuts propelled by Gov. Larry Hogan. [Baltimore Sun]

Minimum wage rises in Maryland

The state’s minimum wage will increase from $8 to $8.25 today as part of legislation passed in the General Assembly last year. The rate is set to rise to $8.75 in 2016 and $9.25 in 2017. [Associated Press]
