Flash Flood Watch in Effect for Saturday

About two inches of rain is expected to fall by Sunday morning

June 26, 2015 9:00 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch in central and southeast Montgomery County that is in effect from 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning to 2:00 a.m. Sunday.

Meteorologist Isha Renta with the National Weather Service said Friday that we can expect up to 2 inches of rain through Saturday night, with severe Thunderstorms after 2 p.m. that could potentially produce hail and possibly even tornadoes.

The Capital Weather Gang reports that in addition to the flash flooding, there is the potential for river flooding due to how wet it has recently been.  But, on the bright side, the temperature will remain below 80 degrees.
