Demolition is set to start soon to make way for Stonehall, the nine-story, 46-unit condo building coming to the corner of Battery Lane and Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda.
Marc Dubick, president of developer Duball LLC, said Friday that the tear-down of three-story structure on the property should start “any day now.”
Project representatives held final meetings last week with county permitting officials. Yellow caution tape has been set up around the structure to warn people not to go onto the property at 4811 Battery Lane.
The structure, a house that was turned into an office building, was most recently home to Hope Floats, a spa, and a satellite office for Donohoe Construction, the general contractor on the Flats at 8300 project across Woodmont Avenue.
The condo building will run along Woodmont Avenue and contain a roughly 3,000-square-foot ground-floor retail spot expected to hold a restaurant.
The size of the condos will range from 950 to 2,500 square feet.
