A woman suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries after her car hit a telephone pole Tuesday afternoon on Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda.
The accident happened at about 4 p.m. along Tuckerman Lane near its intersection with Whisperwood Lane, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Tuckerman Lane remains closed between Whisperwood Lane and Arroyo Drive.
Piringer said rescue crews had to extricate the woman from the vehicle, which snapped the telephone pole.
