Police Blotter: Home Burglaries And Property Stolen From A Self-Storage Center

The following incidents were reported to Montgomery County police from April 27 to May 5

Possibly related home break-ins

Two residential burglaries that occurred within three days of each other could be related, police said. The first happened April 28 at 1 p.m. in the 100 block of Spruce Tree Court. The second happened between 9:20 and 11:30 a.m. April 30 in the 7100 block of Darby Road. In both cases there was forced entry, but nothing was taken. Police didn’t provide suspect information.

Thefts from vehicles

Thefts from five vehicles parked on Oakmont Avenue, Sonoma Road and Glenbrook Road may be related, police said. All of the thefts occurred between April 29 and May 4 and three of them involved vehicles on Oakmont Avenue. Police said there was no forced entry into any of the vehicles.

North Bethesda

Afternoon burglary at self-storage center

A commercial burglary occurred  at 4 p.m. April 30 at Storage Village, the self-storage business at 4950 Nicholson Court. Police said they don’t know how the suspect or suspects got in, but that property was stolen. Police provided no suspect information.

Chevy Chase

Thefts from vehicles in Chevy Chase West

Property was stolen in the early morning of May 2 from four vehicles in the Chevy Chase West neighborhood and on nearby Overbrook Road in Bethesda. There was no forced entry in any of the thefts, police said. The vehicles were parked on Crescent Court, Morgan Drive, Chevy Chase Boulevard and Overbrook Road.

Early morning burglary near Tuckerman Lane

Someone broke into a home in the 8300 block of Raymond Lane and stole property early May 4, police said. No suspect information was provided.
