A person ejected from a vehicle was among six people injured when two cars collided this morning near the intersection of Snouffer School Road and Mooney Drive in Gaithersburg.
Fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said emergency workers evaluated six people at the scene. The person who was ejected suffered serious injuries while the others suffered non-life threatening injuries. Piringer said via his Twitter account that some of those who were injured were teenagers, although he did not immediately provide an exact number.
Two cars, a Jeep Wrangler and a dark-colored sedan, were heavily damaged in the collision that happened around 9:30 a.m. A fence and pole near the scene were also damaged, according to Piringer. Snouffer School Road was closed while firefighters worked at the scene.
