Update: Carbon Monoxide Incident Leaves 11 With Poisoning

Fire and Rescue Service responded to the scene at a Rockville construction site

Update – 4:50 p.m. – Montgomery County Hazmat crews treated 11 workers who suffered carbon monoxide poisoning on Monday afternoon at a Rockville construction site.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer said the 11 workers at 14395 Southlawn Lane were all adult men and some had suffered serious levels of poisoning. None of the workers are in life-threatening condition, Piringer said.

Fire and Rescue personnel were called to the scene at about 3:15 p.m., where they found high levels of carbon monoxide, Piringer said.
