Police Blotter: Woodmont Triangle Businesses Burglarized

The following incidents were reported to Montgomery County police from April 13 to 21

Bethesda

Three Woodmont Triangle business burglarized

Someone broke into Consider it Done, a dinnerware store at 4915 St. Elmo Ave., and Buyers Edge, a real estate business, at 4849 Rugby Ave., during the early morning hours of April 17. Both business showed signs of forced entry, but nothing was reported stolen. Another burglary occurred nearby at Consero Group, a business management company at 4915 St. Elmo Ave., during the early morning hours of April 20. Property was taken in that incident. Police don’t know if the incidents are related. 

Residential burglary on Merivale Road

Someone took property from a residence in the 4000 block of Merivale Road sometime between noon and 7:30 p.m. April 13.

Man arrested for vehicle break-ins, starting small fires

A 20-year-old man was arrested in a string of car break-ins and the setting of small fires that occurred in the area of 5400 Audubon Road on the night of April 14. Six vehicles were broken into and three fires were lit inside some of the vehicles using papers found inside, causing damage to the vehicles’ interiors.

Man arrested at Walter Johnson High School

Theft at construction site

Property was taken from a construction site at 12270 Wilkins Ave. sometime between 10:20 and 10:45 p.m. April 21. There were no signs of forced entry.

Residential burglary on Thornapple Street

Someone broke into a residence in the 3600 block of Thornapple Street and took property between 8:10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. April 17.
