Washington ArtWorks SPRING Open Studios Weekend Washington ArtWorks 12276 Wilkins Avenue Time: 10 a.m. — 5 p.m. Washington ArtWorks opens its' expansive visual arts facility and Resident Artist studios to the public for a full weekend of art shopping, music, and food trucks. Featured both days will be hundreds of pieces of art including photography, painting, pottery and glass as well as artist demonstrations, local food trucks La Strada, Holy Crepes, and Carmen's, and live music. Edgemoor House And Garden Tour Edgemoor Club 7415 Exeter Road Time: 12 p.m. — 4 p.m. Enjoy and walking tour of beautiful homes and gardens and help raise funds for projects benefiting our local community. Past proceeds have funded the planting of street trees and landscaping in our community and at the Bethesda Library, playgrounds and plantings at the Bethesda Elementary School, and have assisted other local non-profit organizations. Fox Hill Creates Monarch Butterfly Garden Fox Hill Retirement Community 8300 Burdette Road Time: 11:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. Thanks to a grant from the state of Maryland and an ongoing commitment to beauty and the environment, Fox Hill, a fine senior living condominium located in Bethesda, Maryland, has announced a partnership with the Wildlife Habitat Council in conjunction with Earth Day 2015. On April 29, the Habitat Council will use a portion of its $44,000 in grant money to plant trees and other greenery on the Fox Hill property for beautification purposes, as well as to create a wildlife habitat suitable for birds, amphibians and pollinators. A Monarch butterfly demonstration area, complete with plenty of planted milkweed, will also be created at Fox Hill's children's garden.
