Woodmont Triangle Apartments Becoming Condos — A 17-story, 244-unit building under construction at the corner of Fairmont Avenue and Norfolk Avenue is being converted to luxury condos. Developer JBG’s 7770 Norfolk was originally slated as a rental apartment project, but demand seems to have shifted about six months before the building is supposed to open. [Bethesda Magazine]

Leggett Wants Public-Private Economic Development Authority — County Executive Isiah Leggett announced Tuesday he’s moving forward with the idea of replacing the county’s Department of Economic Development with a public-private authority similar to the one in neighboring Fairfax County. The authority would be separate from county government and be responsible for dealing with negative perceptions of the county in the business community. [Washington Business Journal]

Health Center To Open At Pike & Rose — Nava Health and Vitality Center, which opened a location last year in Chevy Chase, plans to open another location in September at the Pike & Rose project. [The Gazette]

Bicycle Meetings Next Week — MCDOT will hold two meetings next week on potential bicycle improvements in the area. The first is a public workshop on the Grosvenor/Strathmore Bicycle and Pedestrian Priority Area set for 7 p.m. on April 27 at Garrett Park Elementary School (4810 Oxford Street). The second is a meeting on new sidewalks and bicycle paths possible for 2.7 miles of Tuckerman Lane west of Old Georgetown Road.
