Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Actress

Known for her iconic role as Seinfeld’s Elaine Benes, the actress is an alumna of Holton-Arms School in Bethesda. The Golden Globe winner also has “Honor Society President” on her resume from her years at Holton and credits drama teachers Judy White and Phyllis Ehrlich with helping to foster her passion for acting. A D.C. resident for almost 10 years, Louis-Dreyfus now calls California home, but has remained close to her roots portraying Vice President (now President) Selina Meyer on HBO’s Veep. The actress’s mother, the poet Judy Bowles, lives in Somerset.
