Carl Bernstein, Journalist/Author
A former reporter for The Washington Post, Bernstein is credited, with his partner Bob Woodward, for breaking the news and reporting extensively on the Watergate political scandal. The journalist, who was depicted by Dustin Hoffman in the 1976 film, All the President’s Men, grew up in Silver Spring and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1961. By age 16, Bernstein was a copyboy at The Washington Star and has since worked at ABC News, Time and Vanity Fair.
