Three possibly related burglaries
Police say three burglaries in Chevy Chase between April 2 and April 6 may be related. All three involved forced entry. The first was reported in the 3300 block of Leland Street on April 2 between 2:15 and 3:10 p.m. and property was taken. The second happened in the 7700 block of Rookeville Road between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., property was taken. The third occurred in the 5900 block of Cedar Parkway around 1 p.m., nothing was taken. Two males are suspected in the burglaries. Police did not provide detailed descriptions of the suspects.

Two suspects sought in collision with off-duty officer
An off-duty officer was struck while investigating a suspicious vehicle near the Friendship Heights Metro station on April 7 around 5 p.m. Two men fled in the suspect vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Washington, D.C. More information about this incident can be found by clicking here.

Rifle recovered
Police found a low-caliber rifle—a .22 Squires Bingham 20A rifle—and a gun magazine near the intersection of Veirs Mill Road and Twinbrook Parkway around 9 p.m. on April 2. The gun was recovered and taken to the 4th District police station.
Residential burglary on Tuckerman Lane
A man forced his way into a residence in the 8800 block of Tuckerman Lane and took property between 8:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on April 2.
Residential burglary on Ridge Drive
Property was taken in a residential burglary involving forced entry in the 13000 block of Ridge Drive sometime between April 4 and April 6.
Potomac
Teen arrested in gas station burglary
A 17-year-old young man was arrested in a burglary at the Potomac Sunoco at 11355 Seven Locks Road. The burglary took place around 12:45 a.m. on April 5 and police found signs of forced entry.
