Weekly Crime Report: March 30 to April 7

This week’s 2nd District crime summary includes a string of what police say are likely related home burglaries:

Residential burglaries occurred in the following locations and are considered to be related:
In the 5900 block of Cedar Parkway in Chevy Chase on 4/6 at 1:02 p.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.
In the 7700 block of Brookeville Road in Chevy Chase on 4/3 between 1:00 p.m. – 1:42 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
In the 3300 block of Leland Street in Chevy Chase on 4/2 between 2:14 p.m. – 3:10 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
Suspects: Two males; ages unknown
An aggravated assault in the 5400 block of Montgomery Street on 4/7 at 4:53 p.m. An offduty officer was struck by the suspects’ vehicle which was later located abandoned in DC area.
Suspects: Two black males, ages unknown
