Pig Roast Planned For Pike & Rose Event

Pike & Rose will host a barbecue and block party next month featuring a pig roast, bites from neighborhood restaurants and live music from AMP by Strathmore. The half-finished development in White Flint/the Pike District is calling the event a "Meat & Greet," and it's set for 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. It'll happen on Grand Park Avenue, the new street off of Old Georgetown Road just west of Rockville Pike. There will also be sidewalk sales, giveaways, beer and wine for sale and kids' activities, plus the music provided by AMP, the Strathmore-operated concert venue that opened in March. The event is free, though tickets for the pig roast cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids 12 and younger. Pig roast tickets include the neighborhood tastings. Via Pike & Rose
