Police Blotter: Stabbing in Chevy Chase; Inappropriate Touching at Kensington Bus Stop

Stabbing on Bradley Boulevard

A 24-year-old man was arrested without incident after reportedly stabbing an acquaintance in the 4700 block of Bradley Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. March 30.

Residential burglary on Wyndale Lane

Someone broke into a residence in the 7400 block of Wyndale Lane and took property sometime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. March 28.

Institute of Asthma and Allergy burglarized

Two men entered the Institute of Asthma and Allergy at 2 Wisconsin Circle and took property around 5 p.m. March 26.

Garage booth at Chevy Chase building burglarized

Someone broke into a parking garage booth at the Chevy Chase Building, 5530 Wisconsin Ave., and took property sometime between 7 p.m. March 25 and 5:50 a.m. March 26.

Bethesda

Attempted burglary at Sussex House Condos

Three men forced their way into the Sussex House Condos in the 4900 block of Battery Lane, but didn’t take any property, around 10:45 p.m. March 27.

Healthy Back Store burglarized

Someone took property from the Healthy Back Store at 6831 Wisconsin Ave. sometime between 9:30 p.m. March 25 and 9:25 a.m. March 26. There were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

Residential burglary on Western Avenue

Property was taken after someone broke into a residence in the 4600 block of Western Avenue between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 30.

Kensington

Inappropriate touching at bus stop

A woman reported she was touched inappropriately by a man as she exited a bus near the corner of Connecticut Avenue and Plyers Mill Road at 2:15 p.m. March 30. The woman reported the approximately 40-year-old man mumbled something to her and then fled on foot.

North Bethesda

Purse snatching on Marrinelli Road

After a brief struggle, a man fled with a woman’s purse after snatching it in the 5700 block of Marrinelli Road at 2:37 p.m. March 24. No weapon was used in the robbery.

­Rockville

Copper theft from recycling center

Police say a 28-year-old man stole about 215 pounds of copper wiring from ER Recycling at 15131 Southlawn Lane between 3 and 6:30 p.m. March 27.

Five vehicle break-ins

Property was taken from five vehicles, all parked in the area of Great Falls Road and Maryland Avenue, between March 29 and 31. There were no signs of forced entry.

Armed robbery at Red Roof Inn

Three suspects—two men, ages 19 and 21, and an 18-year-old woman—were charged in an early morning March 27 armed robbery at the Red Roof Inn at 16001 Shady Grove Road. The male victim’s wallet and vehicle, which were taken in the robbery, were later recovered by police. Read more about this incident.

Two thefts from vehicles

Two vehicles were broken into the night of March 26. A purse was taken from a vehicle parked in the 9200 block of Fall River Lane in Potomac. Nothing was taken from another vehicle broken into in the 9300 block of Cranford Drive in Rockville.
