UPDATED: Off-Duty Police Officer Struck By Car In Chevy Chase

Updated Wednesday — Police say three men are in custody after their car hit an off-duty police officer in Friendship Heights.

According to emergency scanner traffic, a 30-year-old off-duty police officer was the victim of the collision, which happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The man didn’t lose consciousness and didn’t appear to have serious injuries. He was taken to Suburban Hospital.

Police reported there three men in the car — a silver, two-door Acura.

Police closed Wisconsin Avenue between South Park Avenue and Willard Avenue to investigate. The road was reopened just before 5:30 p.m.
