Appeals Court Sides With MoCo In Question B Fight — Maryland’s Court of Special Appeals overturned a lower court ruling that found Montgomery County acted illegally by spending $122,315 in public money to campaign for Question B in the 2012 election. Question B got a majority “yes” vote, meaning the county’s law removing effects bargaining rights for police officers was upheld. [The Gazette]

Stormwater, Water Quality Grants Go To Local Groups — Montgomery County and the Chesapeake Bay Trust on Monday announced $370,000 in grant funding to 13 groups for programs to improve water quality and manage stormwater runoff. The organizations include the Rock Creek Conservancy ($38,000), Bethesda Green ($32,000), Audubon Naturalist Society ($26,331) and Carderock Springs Citizens Association ($11,930).
