Frosh: Just Say No To Pepco-Exelon Merger — Attorney General Brian Frosh wrote in the Washington Post that state regulators shouldn’t approve the $6.8 billion sale of Pepco Holdings Inc. to Exelon. Frosh said the benefits promised by Exelon don’t make up for its reliance on nuclear power plants and its apparent desire to hedge the financial losses of those plants with a new base of ratepayers. Capital Crescent Trail Plowing To Continue Next Year — Montgomery Parks is making plans to clear snow from the Capital Crescent Trail again next winter. This winter’s pilot of the program cost $55,000 and provided plenty of opportunities. [The Gazette]
