A private preschool part of a nationwide education company is expanding its presence in the area with a new Bethesda location.
The Goddard School, which has more than 400 franchised and accredited schools in 35 states, is building out the Bethesda location in the office building at 6400 Goldsoboro Road.
The school was founded in 1988 in Pennsylvania for children six weeks to six years old. It uses the “F.L.E.X. Learning Program,” heavy on play-based learning.
The school started applying last year to redevelop a property in White Flint for another new location. That proposal is still in the approval process.

The Bethesda location is set to hold an open house later this month.
