The driver of a silver BMW crashed through the Rite Aid store on Westbard Avenue in Bethesda Thursday afternoon.
Fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said neither the driver nor anyone inside the store was injured.
The car crashed through plate glass windows and several rows of merchandise inside the store around 4:30 p.m., according to Piringer.
A building instructor was notified to assess the structural damage. The store is located at 5350 Westbard Avenue.
