Attempted robbery at Westfield Montgomery
Two Washington, D.C., men, ages 25 and 26, were arrested after attempting to rob and assault multiple victims in the parking lot of Westfield Montgomery mall. The men were unsuccessful in attempts to take property around 8:30 p.m. on March 9, according to police.
Residential break-in on Avondale Street
Someone entered a residence in the 4500 block of Avondale Street between 8:40 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 6, but nothing was reported stolen from the residence.
Residential break-in on Cedar Lane
A break-in sometime between 2 and 7 a.m. March 5 at a residence in the 9800 block of Cedar Lane was reported. Nothing was taken.
Rockville
Counterfeit cash used
Someone used counterfeit cash to purchase merchandise in the parking lot of the GW Supermarket at 700 Hungerford Drive in Rockville around 8:30 p.m. March 4.
Sexual assault at Twinbrook Recreation Center
A sexual assault was reported March 4 at the Twinbrook Recreation Center at 12920 Twinbrook Parkway. Police said the victim knew the suspect.
Robbery on North Horners Lane
Two men assaulted a person and took property in a robbery in the 200 block of North Horners Lane around 9:45 a.m. March 6. Police arrested a 27-year-old man from Poolesville, but are still looking for a second male suspect.

Police arrested a 31-year-old North Bethesda man in a March 10 assault in the 12500 block of Village Square Terrace.
