Bethesda Film Fest

The third annual Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentaries made by local filmmakers at screenings scheduled for Friday and Saturday, March 20-21, 2015 with 7pm and 9pm screenings each night at Imagination Stage, 4908 Auburn Ave. in downtown Bethesda. Bethesda Film Fest is produced by the Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District.
The evening will include a discussion with the filmmakers after the screenings. Tickets are available at www.bethesda.org for $10. Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

Ruggerfest

Ruggerfest is the largest and oldest women’s rugby tournament in the U.S. Celebrating its 35th year, Ruggerfest brings together adult, college, and high school rugby players from around the country and from Canada, including some of the top US club teams. Ruggerfest is organized by the Washington Women’s Rugby Club, and all proceeds will go to support the club. There will also be food, drinks and rugby themed gear and apparel. With Rugby joining the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, this weekend is a great time to get to know the latest Olympic sport and to support female athletes of all levels.
Decades Night On Ice
Veteran’s Plaza 8523 Fenton Street, Silver Spring
Time: 6:00 p.m. — 10:00 p.m.
Come dressed for your favorite decade and skate at Decades Night on Ice at Silver Spring Ice Skating onSaturday, March 21 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Plaza, 8523 Fenton Street, Silver Spring, MD.
A DJ will be spinning the best tunes of each decade starting with the 60s at 6 pm, then the 70s at 7 pm, the 80s at 8 pm, and the 90s at 9 pm, through 10 pm. Rent skates at the rink for $3, or bring your own. Admission: Adults – $8; Children (12 and under) or seniors (55 and up) – $7. Rain or shine, the glass-roofed rink in Silver Spring will be open daily until March 25.
