Purple Line Could Lose Connecticut Avenue Bridge — MTA officials say Purple Line features such as the light rail bridge over Connecticut Avenue could be on the chopping block to make the project cheaper, according to politics blog Seventh State. Environmental Group Still Against Pepco Merger — The Chesapeake Climate Action Network says Exelon and Pepco’s settlement agreement with Montgomery County “continues to fail to offer any significant new commitments to clean energy development and energy efficiency.” Exelon is hoping for approval from state regulators to complete its purchase of Pepco.
