Man Pleads Guilty To Knowingly Exposing Women To HIV — Daniel Cleaves pleaded guilty on Tuesday to having unprotected sex with two women and never telling them he was HIV positive. The separate incidents happened last year after Cleaves met the women at a bar in Bethesda. The victims are continuing to undergo testing to see if they have the virus. Cleaves pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless endangerment and faces up to 18 months in jail when he is sentenced later this month. [WTOP]

Donna Edwards Makes Senate Aspirations Official — Rep. Donna Edwards, the Prince George’s County Democrat who was first elected to the House in 2008, on Tuesday announced that she will be running for the Senate seat to be vacated by Barbara Mikulski in 2016. In an announcement video, Edwards took an apparent dig over social security at Rep. Chris Van Hollen, who is also running for the seat. [Baltimore Sun]

Neighborhood Says Pepco Feeder Responsible For Fires — The Carderock Springs Citizens’ Association and one resident whose house caught fire in 2012 have asked the state’s Public Service Commission to investigate whether underground Pepco electrical lines are to blame. Pepco denies the claim. The PSC is set to hear the results of a staff investigation in August. [The Gazette]

Leventhal Goes On Radio To Defend Pesticide Ban — Council President George Leventhal went on conservative-leaning WMAL to talk about his proposed pesticide ban. The conversation quickly became Leventhal defending the proposal, which he said would protect the health of county’s residents. [Washington Post]
