Updated — It’s a week until St. Patrick’s Day and these area spots will be offering drink specials, music, green bagels and even a free breakfast starting this weekend:
Flanagan’s Harp and Fiddle (4844 Cordell Avenue): The only true Irish bar in downtown Bethesda will go all out, with breakfast from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m., four lunch seatings, four dinner seatings and live music all day.
Union Jack’s (4915 St Elmo Avenue): The only British-style pub in downtown Bethesda will turn Irish for a day, offering its annual St. Patrick’s Day free breakfast from 8 a.m.-10 a.m., half-price car bombs and Jamesons all day, $1 Killian’s from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and $3 Killian’s from 4 p.m. to close. Union Jack’s will also host a “St. Practice Day” on Saturday.
Brickside Food & Drink (4866 Cordell Avenue): Brickside will celebrate with drink specials for five straight days, with $5 Guinness, $6 Irish whiskey shots, $6 car bombs from Friday through St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday.
The Barking Dog (4723 Elm Street): The Barking Dog will open at 11 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day with live music Irish drink and fare and no cover.
Bradley Food & Beverage (6904 Arlington Road): The beer, wine and food market will offer half-off growler fills on St. Patrick’s Day for any of its Growler Club members.
Caddies on Cordell (4922 Cordell Avenue): Caddies will host its own St. Practice day Saturday and an official celebration on Tuesday, with food and drink specials and giveaways.
