Despite being in the throes of winter, we have some signs of spring.
The National Park Service announced this morning the peak bloom for the Tidal Basin’s cherry blossom trees will be April 11 to 14 this year in Washington, D.C.

As many locals know, the Kenwood neighborhood in Chevy Chase is also home to about 1,200 cherry trees that bloom each spring. Typically, the trees in Kenwood bloom a few days later than the trees at the Tidal Basin.
