Walt Whitman High School’s award-winning drama program presents “Arcadia,” the hilarious and heartbreaking play widely considered to be one of the most-influential shows of the 20th century. Exploring the complicated relationship between past and present, “Arcadia” follows the intertwined stories of two casts of characters in two time periods: a 19th century British family and the 20th century historians determined to discover their secrets.

“Aviary”, a juried gallery exhibition in the Urban by Nature Gallery at Washington ArtWorks will open to the public with a reception on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Photography, painting, mixed media and more will be displayed for this exhibition. “Aviary” has been juried by artist and Washington Post’s Natural Sciences Graphics Editor, Patterson Clark. In addition, the Nature Visions Photo Expo will be hosting their travelling exhibition in the Washington School of Photography Gallery and the Pop-Up gallery will host a solo show by Richard Weiblinger.

Weekend Walks In The Woods
Audubon Naturalist Society 8940 Jones Mill Road

Join Audubon Naturalist Society Volunteer Master Naturalists on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 am to 10:00 am for a nature hike around Woodend Sanctuary. Each hike has a natural history theme. Programs are appropriate for family members of all ages and no registration is necessary. Dress for a hike and don’t forget your water bottle. Meet at the amphitheater by the main house.
