At first, Montgomery County Public Schools officials thought the morning snow merited a two-hour delay. Then they reconsidered. By 7 a.m., enough morning snow was covering the roads to close the schools altogether “due to emergency weather conditions.”
It made for a messy commute, but by 11 a.m., the skies were clear, even if the roads were still a bit sloppy.
A 40 percent chance of snow showers remains through tonight. On Friday, it’s expected to stay cloudy but the chance of snow dwindles to just 20 percent.
Sorry kids. Don’t count on a snow day on Friday.
