Montgomery County police have arrested a resident of a Silver Spring senior apartment complex  in the slaying of a 95-year-old fellow resident.

Police arrested Eric S. Dyson, 60, of the 500 block of Randolph Road, on Tuesday and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Dan Belvin.

Dyson reportedly told police he admitted to stabbing Belvin when the victim made unwelcome sexual advances toward him. Dyson reportedly claimed that he offered sexual favors to Belvin in exchange for the use of his vehicle and money.

Police said Belvin was last seen alive Feb. 19. A friend became concerned Monday and contacted Belvin’s building apartment manager, who checked his Randolph Village apartment and found Belvin dead. Police who responded to the scene reported that Belvin “had suffered multiple sharp force injuries.”
