Police Blotter: Liquor Store Burglarized; Property Taken from Vehicles

Bethesda

Commercial burglary at Italian Cultural Society

Someone forced their way into and took property from the Italian Cultural Society located in the 4000 block of Rugby Avenue sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 2.

Bethesda Beer & Wine break-in

Nothing was taken, but there were signs of forced entry at the Bethesda Beer & Wine store at 8015 Wisconsin Avenue on Feb. 5 around 5 a.m.

Thefts from vehicles near Little Falls Parkway

Small items such as cash, laptops and cell phones were taken from six unlocked vehicles parked on Redford Road, Wakefield Road, Yorktown Road, Keokuk Street and Little Falls Drive from Feb. 2 to Feb 10.

Wallet and trumpet stolen

Items including a wallet and a trumpet were taken from three different vehicles parked at Westfield Montgomery and also on Ashburton Lane from Feb. 2 to Feb. 10.

Chevy Chase

Property taken from vehicle

Property was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 7900 block of Connecticut Avenue by a suspect described by police as a black man, about 5 foot 10 inches, 200 pounds who was wearing tan pants.

Rockville

Theft from vehicle

Property was taken from a vehicle in the 100 block of Rollins Avenue on Feb. 6 between 11:30 a.m. and 6:40 p.m.

Residential burglary

Two men forced their way into a residence in the 14000 block of Travilah Road on Feb. 8 and took property around 8:30 p.m. Police did not provide detailed suspect descriptions.

North Bethesda

Commercial burglary at Crest Cleaners

Someone forced their way into Crest Cleaners at the 12015 Rockville Pike and took property on Feb. 4 around 9:30 a.m.

Montrose Rose Retail Liquor Store burglarized

Property was taken from the county-owned liquor store at 12015 Rockville Pike between 11:35 a.m. and 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 5.

Five thefts from vehicles

Bags, backpacks, laptops, iPads, and medication were taken from vehicles in daytime thefts all involving forced entry on Rockville Pike, Citadel Avenue and Old Georgetown Road on Feb. 6.

Theft from vehicle at LA Fitness

Property was taken from a vehicle parked at LA Fitness at 11416 Rockville Pike on Feb. 3 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Vehicle parts taken on Nicholson Lane

Vehicle parts were taken from a vehicle parked in the 5500 block of Nicholson Lane sometime between Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.
