State officials said the firms requested the delay to find cheaper ways to complete the estimated $2.45 billion project. Latest On Bike Lanes, Sidewalks Planned For Bradley Boulevard — The Montgomery County Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on March 2 at Pyle Middle School (6311 Wilson Lane) to update residents and others on its Bradley Boulevard improvement project. The project would bring a new sidewalk and shared use path to each side of the road from Wilson Lane to Glenbrook Road. It would also convert the road’s shoulders into bicycle lanes. [MCDOT]
