A commercial burglary occurred at the Italian Cultural Society located in the 4000 block of Rugby Street in Bethesda on Wednesday, 2/4 between 4:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
A commercial burglary occurred at the Bethesda Beer & Wine located at 8015 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda on Thursday, 2/5 at approximately 5:00 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred this week during different overnight/early morning time periods:
Two occurred in the Rosemary Hill area on East West Highway & Derby Ridge Lane and one occurred in the Chevy Chase area on Leland Street. Entry methods varied with some requiring force and others with unlocked doors, but all three indicated vehicles were searched and assorted items left inside were taken.
A theft from vehicle occurred in the 7900 block of Connecticut Avenue in Chevy Chase on Sunday, 2/8 between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Unlocked vehicle; property taken. Suspect: B/M, 5’10″/200 lbs., wearing tan pants
A theft from vehicle occurred at LA Fitness, 11416 Rockville Pike in Rockville on Tuesday, 2/3 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Property taken.
Five thefts from vehicles occurred during the daytime on Friday, 2/6 all involving forced entry. Incidents occurred on Rockville Pike, Citadel Avenue and Old Georgetown Road. Items taken included bags, backpacks, laptops, iPads and medication.
A theft from vehicle occurred in the 5500 block of Nicholson Lane in North Bethesda sometime between Friday, 2/6 and Saturday, 2/7. Vehicle parts were taken.
Six thefts from vehicles occurred in this beat during this reporting period. Each involved vehicles left unlocked. Items taken included cash, cell phones, laptops, chargers, and other loose items. Streets affected included Redford Road, Wakefield Road, Yorktown Road, Keokuk Street and Little Falls Drive.
Three thefts from vehicles occurred this week during this reporting period. Incidents occurred at Montgomery Mall and on Ashburton Lane. Items taken included a wallet and a trumpet.
