Repairs should be finished and water service returned after a water main break Wednesday morning near Massachusetts Avenue in Bethesda.
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission said the 87-year-old, 10-inch main on Wiscasset Road was found this morning.
Water from the break was flowing down a hill to near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Goldsboro Road, causing traffic issues.
WSSC said crews should be finished repairing the break and water service should be back by 3 p.m.
WSSC will then backfill the hole.
