Police Blotter: Armed Robbery at Apple Store; Bethesda Church Burglarized

The following crimes were reported to Montgomery County Police from Jan. 26 to Feb. 3

Bethesda

Armed robbery at Apple Store

A man threatened someone with a weapon and obtained property from the Apple Store at 4860 Bethesda Avenue on Jan. 28 around 5:30 p.m. Police described the suspect as a black male, about 40 to 50 years old, five feet tall and 210 pounds, who had a crew cut.

Church burglarized

Property was taken from the Armenian Apostolic Church at 4906 Flint Drive sometime between Jan. 28 and Feb. 1. Police found signs of forced entry.

Vehicle parts stolen in Bethesda neighborhood

Parts were taken from vehicles parked on Kingswood Road and Greenlawn Drive overnight on Jan. 27.

Someone took property from the Radio Shack store at 8125 Wisconsin Avenue on Jan. 30.

Three residential break-ins, nothing taken

Three homes were reportedly burglarized, but nothing was taken from the properties from Jan. 27 to Jan. 29 in Bethesda. The first was reported in the 5200 block of Nahant Street on Jan. 27. The second was in the 5400 block of Wanete Road around 8 a.m. on Jan. 28. The third was on Jan. 29 around 3:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of Welborn Drive.

Residential burglary on Willard Avenue

Property was taken in a residential burglary in the 4700 block of Willard Avenue sometime between Jan. 29 and Jan. 30.

Residential burglary on Forest Place

Someone forced their way into a residence in the 5700 block of Forest Place and took property on Jan. 31 between noon and 2:20 p.m.

Vehicle parts taken in Pooks Hill neighborhood

Vehicle parts were stolen from cars on Pooks Hill Road, Wicket Terrace and McKinley Street between Jan. 26 and Feb. 3.

Kensington

Attempted burglary on St. Paul Street

Someone wearing black clothing and a puffy black coat attempted to enter a residence in the 10700 block of St. Paul Street around 12:50 a.m. on Feb. 3.

Rockville

Laptop stolen from vehicle

Two vehicles were burglarized at the parking garage at 121 Congressional Lane in Rockvile on Feb. 2, both vehicles showed signs of forced entry. Items were taken including a laptop.

Vehicles burglarized on Lakestone Place, Valley Drive

A wallet, an ID, cash, cell phones and credit cards were taken from two vehicles on Lakestone Place and Valley Drive sometime between Jan. 26 and Feb. 3.

North Bethesda

Attempted theft

A man forced his way into a vehicle at Planet Fitness at 1776 E. Jefferson Street on Feb. 2 around 11:50 a.m., but did not take anything. Police described the suspect as a black male, in his 40s, who was wearing a black Jordan hat and a black coat.

Residential burglary on Montrose Road

Someone forced their way into a residence in the 6300 block of Montrose Road on Jan. 31 around 3 p.m.

North Potomac

Residential burglary on Cherry Blossom Lane

Property was taken from the garage of a residence in the 15000 block of Cherry Blossom Lane between 11 p.m. on Jan. 29 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 30.

Six vehicles burglarized

DVDs, cash and other loose items were taken from six vehicles parked on Cherry Blossom Court, Citrus Grove North, Great Elm Drive, Hunting Hills Way and Lake Potomac Drive between Jan. 16 and Feb. 3.

Gaithersburg

Eight vehicles burglarized at office building

Items were taken from eight vehicles parked outside an office building at 8625 Zetts Avenue overnight on Jan. 26.
